"Please let your friends and members know that they can safely dispose of personal and household documents that contain sensitive information at the FREE shred-it event that the AARP Central Ohio volunteer team is hosting from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Wolfe Park in Columbus.
We are asking that individuals bring no more than 5 bags or boxes of papers to be shredded. Volunteers will be available to assist individuals with their bags or boxes, eliminating the need to exit their vehicles. People should be reminded that shred-it event is for documents and important papers that need to be permanently destroyed.
The Shred-it Event is important to AARP Ohio because it supports one of our priorities for 2015 – AARP Fraud Watch Network efforts to help people protect their financial resources from fraud, scams and th eft. Shredding is one step in this process.
For additional information, please contact AARP Ohio staffer Trey Addison at 614-222-1525 or our volunteer leader Ernestine Jackson, at 614-284-2139."
