We, the Solutions for Patient Safety (SPS) Network, are a network of 90+ children's hospitals. Little evidence exists for pediatric prevention standards for the pediatric hospital acquired conditions (HACs) that are the focus of our network. Over the past few years, we have developed standard definitions for pediatric HACs based on those used for adult HACs by using a participatory approach led by pediatric safety experts. Our SPS Network hospitals rapidly adopted these standard definitions and have come together to develop evidence-based bundles in care delivery for each pediatric HAC. Our SPS network is working with hospitals to spread and implement these bundles in care delivery in order to accelerate the pace of harm reduction.
Over the past years, we have realized the importance of creating and sharing tools that make it easy for hospitals to drive our SPS Prevention Bundles to the frontline. It needs to be easy for them to do the right thing. We will create videos that can be used by frontline teams and their leaders across all SPS hospitals (as well as other hospitals) to understand the specific details of each SPS Prevention Bundle. Every hospital who doesn’t have a training capacity can use these videos to train their staff on how to complete our SPS Prevention Bundles.
We are soliciting bids from video production company small businesses (small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, women-owned small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, veteran-owned small businesses, and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses) who are interested in working with us help us create these SPS Prevention Bundle training videos. We are estimating that we will need to create approximately 10 3-5 minute training videos here in Cincinnati, Ohio. We plan to have all of the videos completed by July 2016.
If you are interested in participating in this work or have any questions, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are requesting bids by March 31, 2016.
