The Small Business Development Center-Marietta announces three new workshops for area small business owners and managers. These workshops are designed to help the entrepreneur work on several aspects of the business with the goal of gaining useful insights into successful business operations. Examples and templates will be provided to each attendee so the concepts presented may be implemented easily and quickly.

Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 9 to 11 am:
Creating Your Employee Handbook – This session will provide a template index of Employee Handbook topics, including Hiring and Job Descriptions, Compensation, Time Off, Disciplinary Procedures, and more. Samples will be provided.
Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 9 to 11 am:
Developing Your Operating Budget – This session will help you understand the components of budgeting, zero-based budgets, income, costs, profit, margins, and provide several spreadsheet budget templates. We will review typical budgets a variety of business types.
Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 9 to 11 am:
Learning the 4 P’s of Marketing Your Business – This session will help you understand Product, Price, Place and Promotion. We will also examine your customer profile and offer a list of local adverting options.
These workshops will be facilitated by Charlotte Keim, who has more than 30 years of extensive experience in both the private and non-profit business sector, including international banking operations, non-profits, small business support and services, and most recently as the CEO of the Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Keim earned her Executive Masters in Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace in Berea, Ohio.
Each workshop is a standalone session. There is a $10 fee per workshop for materials or $25 if you register for all three workshops.
